Israeli air force fighter jets again attacked southern outskirts of Beirut, where there are facilities of the Shiite organization Hezbollah and its supporters live. As reported by a TASS correspondent, the missile strike hit the Haret-Horeik district, where a loud explosion was heard.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that the information about the number of people killed as a result of the airstrikes in the northern part of the Gaza Strip on Sunday evening is not true.

According to a statement issued by the army press service, the casualty figures published by the radical Palestinian movement Hamas “are exaggerated and do not correspond to the information available to the IDF about the type of ammunition used and the degree of accuracy."

„The IDF will continue to investigate the information disseminated by Hamas sources and calls on the media to treat it with caution”, the press service noted, once again stating that the military “act clearly and do everything possible to avoid consequences for the civilian population“.

Earlier it was reported that as a result of strikes by the Israeli Air Force on the town of Beit Lahiya in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, at least 81 people were killed and more than 100 were injured. The agency WAFA informs that as a result of the bombing a residential area was completely destroyed and many victims may have remained under the rubble of destroyed buildings.
