Russia shoots down 35 Ukrainian drones over various regions of the country

The bodies of the murdered vice-governor of the region, Sergei Efremov, and two others who died near Kursk were returned to Primorsky Krai

Overnight, Russia's air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 35 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over various regions of the country, the Russian Defense Ministry announced.

It is specified that 18 drones were shot down over the Kursk region. Four drones were destroyed over the Oryol region and Krasnodar region. Three were shot down over the territory of the Voronezh and Rostov regions and one each over the Bryansk and Tula regions, as well as in Crimea.

Meanwhile, a military plane returned to the Primorsky Territory of Russia the bodies of the vice-governor of the region, Sergei Efremov (pictured), and two other fighters from the "Tiger" detachment, Alexander Ivarovsky and Sergei Dmitriev, who died in the Kursk region, the head of the region, Oleg Kozhemyako, announced.

Earlier, Kozhemyako reported that the first commander of the "Tiger" detachment, vice-governor Efremov, died while performing combat missions in the Kursk region. Along with him, an employee of the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Alexander Ivarovsky, and another fighter from the detachment, Sergei Dmitriev, died.
