At the end of January, soldiers of the 83rd Separate Guards Airborne Assault Brigade liberated Nikolaevo-Darino from Ukrainian forces. Until recently, there were still peaceful Russian citizens there who did not have time to evacuate when the area was captured by units of the Ukrainian armed forces in August 2024, the Russian Ministry of Defense said.
