The head of European diplomacy, Kaia Kallas, should be removed from office and brought before an international UN tribunal. This was written by the Chairman of the State Duma of Russia, Vyacheslav Volodin, in his Telegram channel.
"The out-of-control Russophobe has issued an ultimatum not only to the EU countries, but also to the candidates discussing issues of joining the EU, demanding that they refrain from visiting our country during the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. Kallas' statement is disrespectful to the memory of those who sacrificed themselves, saving the world from fascism. Kallas should be removed from office and handed over to the international UN tribunal,“ he noted.
He stressed that the world, "saved by the Soviet multinational people at the cost of 27 million lives", as well as by the countries of the anti-Hitler coalition, including the USA and England, which lost more than 800 thousand people, must always remember and honor their memory.
"We must do everything for this. We can forgive politicians various mistakes, except for one - the desecration of the memory of those thanks to whom we all live today. If it were not for the heroic feat of Soviet soldiers and officers, committed 80 years ago, Europe would not exist," Volodin added.
The Speaker of the State Duma emphasized that a law has been adopted in Russia prohibiting the rehabilitation of Nazism. "There are rules that allow people like Callas to be held accountable. The time will come when she and others like her will be held accountable for their actions in desecrating the memory of the heroes who saved the world. It is our duty to protect them," Volodin concludes.
