A deputy from the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine called the murder of Russian General Yaroslav Moskalik “the proper work of our special services“, Meduza reported.
The Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security Roman Kostenko said that Kiev is behind the murder of the Russian military man near the capital Moscow.
The Russian Federal Security Service said two days ago that its officers had detained a suspect in the murder of a senior Russian army officer. Lieutenant General Yaroslav Moskalik, deputy head of the Main Operations Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Army, died in a car explosion near Moscow. Russia accused Ukrainian special services of the assassination attempt.
“I am glad that this is the proper work of our special services. Even if we reach an end to the war in the near future, the work of the special services is only just beginning. And this direction - the elimination of criminals who shot at civilians, fired missiles, gave orders - this will be the main task of our special services,“ said Roman Kostenko.
Russian media and state agencies believe that in this way the deputy has “admitted Kiev's involvement“ in the murder of Moskalik. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that “the Kiev regime has turned into a real terrorist cell with international support in the form of weapons and money“.
