US President Donald Trump decided to stop imposing trade tariffs after a conversation with Treasury Secretary Scott Besant and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, the Wall Street Journal reports.
The ministers managed to seize the moment and convince Trump on the issue of tariffs.

Trump sharply raised import tariffs on goods from 185 countries in early April. For a number of countries, including the United States' closest partners, the rates have risen to 20-30 percent of the customs value of the goods. However, the American leader recently announced a 90-day pause on tariffs for 75 countries, including the European Union.
