A magnitude 4.3 earthquake was registered in western Turkey, the Anadolu Agency reported, BTA reports.
According to information from the Turkish seismological services, the epicenter of the earthquake is located in the Sea of Marmara - about 17.8 km from the Istanbul district of Büyükçekmece. The depth of the earthquake was measured at 7.01 km.
There is currently no information about casualties or material damage. However, the quake was felt in some parts of Istanbul, causing concern among local residents. Authorities are monitoring the situation.
