A missile fired by the Yemen-based Houthis triggered air raid sirens in northern Israel on Friday, the Times of Israel reported, reports News.bg.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that air defense systems were activated and "working to intercept the threat".
The sirens sounded in several populated areas - the cities of Haifa, Aqsa, Krayot, as well as in the Mount Carmel area.
Meanwhile, US military aircraft carried out a series of airstrikes on Yemeni territory in the early hours of Friday. The attacks targeted multiple targets in and around the capital, Sanaa.
According to Al Mayadeen's correspondent, one of the strikes targeted the Asr area in the Al-Wahda district, southwest of Sanaa. Two other attacks were recorded in the Atan area, in the southern part of the city, and another in the northern Hamdan region.
A day earlier, four US airstrikes were carried out in the Habb wa Ash Shaaf area, in the northeastern Al-Jawf province.
