Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko believes that it is possible to implement a project for Russia to build a drone factory.
“We are ready to build a factory“, Lukashenko said, addressing the Deputy Head of the Russian Presidential Administration Maxim Oreshkin during a visit to an exhibition of Russian unmanned aviation systems. The president's words were quoted by the BelTA agency.
Lukashenko noted that the Russian side has demonstrated good results in the development and production of drones. “The Russians have made very serious progress in this direction“, Lukashenko said.
He proposed forming a group of specialists in Belarus and sending them to Russia for additional training in the most advanced areas in the field of unmanned systems. “To teach all our people who will work and who want“, the Belarusian president noted.
Lukashenko also said that in April-May he plans to take an exam from Belarusian specialists who have received instructions on the development of Belarusian unmanned aerial systems. “It's good that you (ed. note: the Russian side) told me about this. Now I know who to take specialists from to help me take the exam with them. We produce both airplanes and helicopters for agriculture. They showed it at the exhibition. We will see all this. So get ready“, Lukashenko warned.
In Minsk, Oreshkin reported that the Russian side proposes to build a plant in Belarus for the production of unmanned aerial systems with a capacity of up to 100,000 units per year.
