The fiftieth National Assembly ended in a way that is above all very offensive to us, the Bulgarian citizens. This is how vice president Iliyana Yotova commented on the last working day of the parliament in front of the BTA in Madjarovo.
According to her, the short mandates of the last parliaments speak of a severe political crisis. But whatever political crisis there is, our people's representatives must work and live with the awareness that they are our elected officials and we have sent them to this Bulgarian shrine, pointed out Yotova.
Everything that happened in the last hours is deeply humiliating for all of us, the vice president believes. In the end, I am sure that a large part of the Bulgarian citizens did not understand at all what happened in those hours, she added.
We watched some silent pictures, some people throwing remarks at each other, accusing each other of corruption and theft, but anyway it was not clear what exactly happened there. And the problem is extremely serious, because it affects the bread of several tens of thousands of people in the "Maritsa Iztok" mine, emphasized Yotova.
I very much hope that this case will also be on the agenda, will be in people's minds when they go to cast their ballot on October 27. Let's make this time really our worthy choice so that we don't get angry with ourselves afterwards, urged Yotova.
