There is no way we can enter into a political coalition with GERB.
This is what the deputy chairman of the BSP Christian Vigenin, MEP from the PES, told the BNR, adding that the desire of the BSP-United Left (BSP-OL) is for maximum broad support for a program government.
"Everything is in the hands of the winning political formation, and as we can see - GERB's approach leads us to new elections, since they do not even mention the possibility of a program government. They insist that their leader (Boyko Borisov) be the prime minister and are looking for support for a political coalition... The fact that we are holding talks does not mean that we will form a coalition, there cannot be any hesitation - nor do we plan to form a coalition with GERB and DPS, nor will we support Borisov for prime minister".
No one is going to cancel the decision of the BSP Congress not to enter into a coalition with GERB, we have no political grounds to do so, he was categorical.
In Vigenin's words, the possibility of a lawyer, a constitutionalist, and not "a person who can simply gather the necessary 121 votes", to stand at the head of the parliament has not been exhausted.
"The election of the Speaker of the National Assembly is heavily influenced by the prospect of the Speaker being a possible acting Prime Minister. Some of the colleagues who support Silvi Kirilov apparently vote for searching for another name for the so-called home book. This is not an acceptable approach for us. We believe that the Speaker of the Parliament should be elected. That's why we hold on to our candidacy Assoc. Natalia Kiselova".
Kristian Vigenin pointed out that the BSP-OL did not sign the declaration of the PP-DB on the sanitary cordon around Delyan Peevski, because they did not accept to be presented with a ready-made declaration to sign:
"If they wanted us to do something jointly, they should have told us to get together and discuss what such a declaration should look like. For us, there is no doubt that Delyan Peevski and DPS-New Beginning have no place in the administration of the state".
