Kalfin: With these shameful scenes from the last day of the parliament, the voters will fall by another third - 1

The final of the 50th National Assembly, what will follow after the elections on October 27, will there be possible coalitions after the tone maintained by the parties and another heat in he commented on the relations between Sofia and Skopje on the air of "Good morning, Europe". on Euronews Bulgaria Ivaylo Kalfin, former deputy prime minister, former social and foreign minister, and MEP.

"The division between the Republic of North Macedonia and Albania is very bad news for our neighbor and someone must be responsible for it domestically. This responsibility must be sought within the Skopje institutions. The fault is not in Bulgaria. There is a very clear plan. He is also well articulated to the Macedonian authorities what should happen. One of these things is to limit themselves in the accusations against Bulgaria, and they cannot overcome this. Including after the elections, the aggression towards Bulgaria increased, so they should do their homework," Kalfin said.

He explained that nobody has an interest in the process of European integration not going well.

"How can one evaluate the work of a National Assembly that produced nothing but scandals, ugly scenes, lack of respect for institutions. It neither succeeded in establishing a government nor succeeded in establishing ultimate rule of the state. This is the role of the National Assembly. With these shameful scenes from the last day of the parliament, in my opinion, the voters will fall by another third,", noted Kalfin.

"Then, when the deputies themselves have no relation to the institution in which the people sent them to work, I don't see what respect they expect anyone in the state to have for them,", he added.< /p>

"These same parties will be able to win elementary trust of the people if they do their job and create a majority. Like this majority, in order to be convincing, it must be based on a coalition agreement, on shared responsibility, on clear goals that a future government sets for itself. This is the solution if we are talking about some political logic and sound thought and concern for the state. I'm afraid that after seven consecutive elections without any result, it is increasingly difficult to talk about some common sense in these people who appear in elections,'' commented Ivaylo Kalfin.
