Kiselova: The elections were transparent where there was video surveillance, but they were not fair - 1

„If only the legality of the elections is contested, but there is no change in the order in which the official government is formed, then we will continue to go around in the same circle and witness the same violations and crimes.“ This was stated by Assoc. Nataliya Kiselova, elected as a member of parliament from the "BSP-UNITED LEFT" coalition, on Bulgaria ON AIR.

She recalled that even before the elections, the left had established that it was necessary to return to the model of the formation of the official offices before the change of the Constitution.

„Our understanding is that after holding two elections under the leadership of a caretaker government, which was formed on a very short list, there is a lack of responsibility and a mechanism to actually influence the composition of the cabinet, respectively the minister of internal affairs“, said Prof. Kiselova.

In her words, the elections were transparent where there was video surveillance, but they were not fair. This was seen from the way in which members of the SIC falsified ballots. “This further undermines the confidence of citizens not only in the parliament, but also in the electoral process,”, stressed Nataliya Kiselova.

According to her, GERB and PP-DB are responsible for how the National Assembly will begin to function, and the setting of preconditions undermines the possibility of the work of the parliament and possibly of a future government.

„ GERB must present their views on how to develop the National Assembly, because the current Speaker of the Parliament violated the Constitution in connection with the request to detain and then place a restraining order on a representative, she pointed out.

Natalia Kiselova also said that the coalition "BSP-UNITED LEFT" will propose his candidacy for the Speaker of the National Assembly, but stressed that, apart from the election of the leadership, it is very important what the legislative program of the 51st Parliament will be.
