Radan Kanev: Tomorrow is the first working day of the 51st Bulgarian Parliament and nobody has done their homework - 1

„Tomorrow is the first working day of the 51st Bulgarian Parliament and nobody has done their homework“. This is what he said in an interview for the show “This Sunday” MEP Radan Kanev from PP-DB.
„It has been two weeks since the elections were held, this should have been a period of negotiations, and we are in the situation where there has not been a minute of negotiations. There were not even unofficial contacts," Kanev announced.
According to his information, there was only a telephone conversation between DSB leader Atanas Atanasov and GERB leader Boyko Borisov, but nothing came of it.

According to Kanev, it is normal for negotiations to start unofficially sometimes, but even that did not happen before the past two weeks.
Regarding the declaration of a “sanitary cordon” proposed by PP-DB. about Delyan Peevski, the MEP commented that, according to the coalition, the formation around Peevski is a key risk for both the economy and geopolitics.
“The same applies to the “Revival” party, for other reasons”, he added.

Radan Kanev also commented on the election of Donald Trump as president of the USA.

„Now the relations between the USA and the EU are fundamentally complicated, with the second term of Mr. Trump they will become more complicated – no doubt. The question is whether Europe can come out of this predicament stronger, and the answer is “yes, this is perhaps the necessary impulse to remember that defense is our duty, not someone across the ocean”, commented the Bulgarian MEP.
According to him, there are great examples of military cooperation in the EU and he gave as an example all the Scandinavian countries, the Baltic republics.
