Until now, we have not received an invitation from GERB for talks on the first mandate. We have clearly stated that we would talk to everyone, without DPS-New Beginning. The third term is a long way off. The judgment will be the president's.
This was stated by Toshko Yordanov from "There is such a people", after the conclusion of the consultations with the president.
"There is no party that enters the parliament and does not consider the topic of participation in the executive power, if it is given a mandate. However, this is too far for us. At the moment, the responsibility lies entirely with GERB. I don't know how many mandates they failed anymore. No one has talked to us. It is clear from Borisov's statement today that he is talking to some parties, but it is not us. Ask him. We have not discussed with the president when he should deliver the first mandate. We have never interfered in the work of another institution. The president must take responsibility for his actions," he added.
"The third term is a long way off. The assessment will be the president's," Stanislav Balabanov said for his part. "A real budget is passed when there is a majority to govern. Populist budgets are explosive for the state. The responsibility of the former is to form a cabinet and the next step is the budget," Balabanov added.
"We will not support populist budgets," Toshko Yordanov was categorical. "The only way to have a normal and realistic budget that benefits society is to have a regular cabinet. Asen Vassilev left the country's finances in a disgusting state. If this wasteful parliament passes a budget, Bulgaria will sink even further financially. It is better to work with the old budget and extension law than for this National Assembly to adopt a populist budget. When a regular cabinet is formed, he will take responsibility for the budget. Country governance should aim to solve problems. If it is clear what the executive will do in the specific parameters of the budget, see you there. If it is not clear, we have no business there", Toshko Yordanov concluded.
