The organization of public transport traffic for the Easter holidays is changing, the press center of the Sofia Municipality announced.
On the night of April 19 to 20, public transport lines will operate on schedules with extended working hours until 1:30 a.m., BNT specifies:
Trams:
No. 5, 7, 8, 10, 11, 18, 20, 22, 27
Trolleys:
No. 1, 2, 7, 9, 73
Buses:
No. 64, 72, 83, 85
Until April 21 and from May 1 to 6, bus line No. 61 will operate according to the current weekday schedule.
The Sofia Metro will also operate with extended hours tonight:
Lines 1 and 4 – every 12 to 24 minutes;
Line 2 – every 24 minutes;
Line 3 – every 20 minutes.
Police and fire department officers have carried out joint inspections of the places where religious events are to be held, the Ministry of Interior's Regional Office - Sofia announced.
The necessary organization has been created to maintain public order and increase police presence in the areas around these sites. In view of the expected intensive passenger flow before, during and after the holidays, an increased police presence is planned in the areas of bus and train stations. Control will be increased over the transportation, use and storage of explosives, firearms, ammunition and pyrotechnics, in order to prevent incidents.
