Demerdzhiev: I don't see real policies and planned actions in these talks about a government - 1

I can't guess whether there will be a regular cabinet, but I'm not optimistic about the way the process is going. The society has seen how such a cabinet can be assembled and the results from it. I don't know the essence of these talks about a government. I don't see real policies and planned actions in these talks. Trust in these processes is already falling more and more. This was stated on BNT by Ivan Demerdzhiev, former interior minister, quoted by novini.bg

He also drew attention to the situation in the Ministry of Interior: „We have reached the situation of the last elections regarding a request to cancel the elections. We saw many irregularities, but we did not see any reaction from the institutions, there was not a single person detained or charged.”
„The starting salary of a young police inspector is just under 1300 leva. Employees in the Ministry of Interior do not have any real social benefits. We demand many things from them, including not to succumb to influence, but if they do not have decent salaries, we cannot demand anything from them. Let's not forget that the increase in salaries in the ministry was voted on by the National Assembly”,
the former Minister of Interior recalled.

He is of the opinion that the post of Minister of Interior is key.

„When the prosecution wants to get out of the muddy terrain, let it give a clear answer who killed the Notary, where is Pepi Euroto. Recently, justice has become selective, and its delay is a consequence of this. Opposition is not personal – the model must be broken and changed. Unfortunately, we have been witnessing low-quality legislation in recent years. Changes must be made after a real debate with the professional community, so that we do not witness actions like those after the constitutional changes. We need a serious debate, so that we do not get more of the same”, warned Demerdzhiev.
