In Lovech region, dozens of households have been without electricity for the fifth day due to unresolved damage to the power grid, BNR reported.
The Lovech village of Radyuvene is one of the settlements in the region where many households have been without electricity for the fifth day, explained Mayor Ignat Ignev.
"There are still houses in distress - about 40 households. We also have fallen trees that have severed the wires. Let's hope that the teams will come today and fix the breakdowns, because the situation is becoming critical.
The mayor of Lovech, Stratsimir Petkov, who yesterday toured some of the affected villages, said that the tension among local residents due to the lack of electricity is growing.
"Of course, there is great dissatisfaction. Some are threatening to disobey. The worst thing is that these villages - most of them - had no water in the summer, and now they have no water and electricity," said Petkov, who emphasized that he does not "accept the excuses for fallen 20-meter trees" that cut off the power supply.
In the remaining municipalities, where almost all settlements were without electricity for days, the power has been restored, but there are still many individual households without electricity.
