Another fight in a shopping center. This time, schoolgirls fought in a Burgas mall, reports Nova TV. It turns out that the teenage girls had been feuding for a long time, and the tension between them escalated when they met in the food area of the shopping center. The aggression between the children was captured on video by some of the people around them, and the footage also shows a security guard who does not break them up.
The violence in one of the Burgas malls occurs around 6 p.m. on Saturday. Eighth-graders from two schools meet in the shopping center and after an exchange of verbal attacks between four of the girls - two of them fight.
“There was a previous feud between two of the children, related to an unpaid T-shirt that one of the children gave to the other. This happened a year, a year and a half ago”, said the head of the “Security Police” at the Second Burgas Police Station, Chief Inspector Nikola Todorov.
The fight between the children was filmed by a witness. The footage shows the 15-year-old girls exchanging blows and pulling out their hair, while dozens of their peers take pictures with their phones and even laugh. “No boxing gloves or knives were found. All have been identified and questioned in the presence of their parents. The fight is not between the two children who have a problem, but between a friend of the one who owed the money”, Todorov also said.
Another striking thing about the video is that a security guard in the shopping center stands helplessly and watches the fight, instead of trying to break up the teenage girls. Before the police arrived, this was done by citizens. “We will conduct an inspection, talk to the security management, look at the recordings and then we will be able to give some opinion on what the actions were and what is the right thing to do at this moment”, assured the Burgas police. They said that this is the first fight in this mall.
NOVA contacted the mother of one of the girls, who did not want to stand in front of our camera, but said that there have been cases of aggression between children in one of the schools and outside of it before. We contacted the shopping center, but they refused to comment. They only stated that they would take measures and ask the hired external security company to stop the employee seen in the footage from working at the mall. We also contacted the security company, which also declined to comment.
The case will be reported to the Burgas District Prosecutor's Office and the local commission for combating antisocial behavior by minors.
