Georgi Semerdzhiev is standing before Themis again. Today he was summoned as a witness in the case against former policewoman Simona Radeva.

According to the prosecutor's office, it provided the ladder with which Semerdzhiev returned home after the serious accident with two victims on "Cherni Vrah" Blvd. in 2022.
The trial will not take place in a shortened procedure, nor with a reduced number of witnesses.
Two courts sentenced Semerdzhiev to 20 years in prison. The decision of the final instance is awaited.
In July 2022. The State Security Service initiated disciplinary proceedings against Simona Radeva and removed her from office. Nearly two years later, she was brought to trial. Radeva confessed that she had brought Semerdzhiev's ladder, but denied knowing about the serious accident.
In the first instance, Georgi Semerdzhiev was sentenced to 20 years in prison for the accident on "Cherni Vrah" Blvd. His sentence was confirmed in the second instance. He appealed his sentence to the Supreme Court of Cassation.
