Vladimir Yonchev: Russia may attack NATO countries this summer - 1

Journalist Vladimir Yonchev issued a serious warning about the possibility of Russia attacking NATO members this summer, expressing concern for the future of European security. He made his statement on the air of the Bulgarian National Television (BNT).

According to Yonchev, the geopolitical situation is changing drastically, and relations between global powers are undergoing a fundamental transformation.

"The whole world is changing. The US betrayal of Ukraine is a fact. Europe is no longer an ally of the US and must somehow manage its own security," he told the media.

The journalist positively noted the unity of European countries regarding the conflict. "The good thing is that European leaders have shown great solidarity with the Ukrainian people and we Bulgarians are standing with the other European countries", emphasized Yonchev.

Vladimir Yonchev highlighted the geographical and strategic reality that places European countries in a fundamentally different position from that of the United States.

"I don't think Europe can change its mind. It's easy for America - it's far from the war. But Europe is fighting for its existence, Ukraine is protecting all of Europe. This war is in our backyard," he reminded in the television interview.

The journalist categorically stated that the Bulgarian people show genuine empathy for Ukraine, regardless of the opposing messages spread online.

"There is an understanding that Ukraine is protecting us from Russia. If the Ukrainians bend, it means the Iron Curtain will come down, and we will be on the wrong side again," warned Yonchev.

The most disturbing part of Vladimir Yonchev's analysis is related to his forecast for the development of the conflict in the coming months. According to him, the war will not only not end soon, but it is possible that it will grow to much more dangerous proportions.

"This war will not end soon. What Trump is doing is tightening the conflict, he is looking for an escalation of the conflict. This conflict will erupt with greater and bloodier force - within this year, probably by this summer," the journalist predicted.

Concluding his analysis, Vladimir Yonchev expressed serious concerns about the future of the region: "I expect the involvement of NATO countries in the conflict. I expect other countries to be attacked by Russia, probably the Baltic states this summer".
