President Rumen Radev emphasized that the only payment that our country has received under the Recovery and Sustainability Plan was during the official cabinet of Galab Donev appointed by him, the head of state's press center reported.

He called on the current government to follow this example.

Rumen Radev - President of the Republic of Bulgaria: "The first and only payment under the Recovery and Sustainability Plan is from the government of Galab Donev appointed by me. And I expect the current government to follow this example and to have a second and third payment. Let me also remind you that the HEMS project for medical assistance from the air for a national center for monitoring, coordination from space, which will truly transform us into a modern country with transparency, with innovative methods of management. Both projects were developed in a presidential institution and my first caretaker government immediately included them in the plan and we made sure that Brussels approved them and allocated funding. I will not comment on what happened from there with the subsequent negligence.

The President made this comment after participating in the ceremony of presenting the "Golden Martenitsa" awards to the association "Made in Bulgaria - Union of Small and Medium-sized Businesses". Rumen Radev presented the award for a high-tech and innovative company. He called for the promotion of domestic production, for the reduction of bureaucracy and an adequate state policy regarding small and medium-sized businesses.

An adequate state policy regarding small and medium-sized businesses is needed, which would ensure a predictable and sustainable regulatory environment and a reduction of bureaucracy. This was stated by President Rumen Radev in his greeting on the occasion of the presentation of the annual “Golden Martenitsa“ awards. The ceremony, which the association “Made in Bulgaria - Union of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses“ organized, was also attended by Vice President Iliyana Yotova. The distinction is awarded for the 31st consecutive year to established Bulgarian companies.

The head of state presented the first prize “Golden Martenitsa“ in the category for high-tech innovative company. The prize in the category was awarded to the company “EnduroSat“ EAD, which specializes in the production of space satellites. This is one of the fastest growing companies in the space industry on the international market, said President Radev. The company has also received recognition for its achievements from a number of high-ranking foreign delegations that have visited Bulgaria. The President noted that “EnduroSat“ has managed to attract quality and motivated specialists and highlighted the company's support for young people through the creation of several master's programs.

“Small business is the backbone of a successful society“, the President added and stated that bureaucracy and monopolies can nip any business initiative in the bud. Among the measures to support the development of Bulgarian companies, the President pointed to stimulating entrepreneurship in education, facilitating access to European funds for small and medium-sized enterprises and using the potential of the Bulgarian Development Bank.

The Head of State congratulated the “Made in Bulgaria“ alliance for the efforts to protect domestic production and to protect family, small and medium-sized enterprises, which we must take care of if we want to develop a modern and prosperous country.

The second prize “Golden Martenitsa“ in the category for unique production that has established itself on the international market was awarded by Vice President Iliana Yotova to the hand-made textile company “Hemus“ Ltd.

The company's products are part of the interior of significant European buildings and are highly appreciated by a number of world publications. The Vice President highlighted the company's aspiration to preserve Bulgarian traditions and congratulated “Made in Bulgaria“ for their initiatives over the past 31 years.
