Once again, we are witnessing a blatant anti-social policy in the Sofia Municipality!
The coalition between GERB and BSP has stopped money for schools in Sofia.
Additional funds for education are clearly not a priority for the municipal councilors from the two partner parties. Other things are important to them - such as public procurement, from which they can steal.
This was commented on Facebook by Maya Alexandrova from "Nepokorna Bulgaria". Here are some more of her words:
And look at the scandalous motives for stopping school funding - because their request for other items in the budget was not accepted by the other parties, they will punish the children in kindergartens and schools by cutting them off from the funding they are entitled to. Our children are not a commodity for trade - you to me, I to you. They are an absolute priority!
Otherwise, they supposedly want more educated young people and say that they are the future of our country, but they vote against additional funds to improve the conditions and the environment in which they study.
They want a quality education, but if possible - without care from those in power.
It is clear - the schools in which our children study are their last concern.
Once again, we are witnesses to the antisocial thinking and policies of the local authorities in the SOS.
“Education is our priority.” has proven to be an election cliché, which is no longer needed today /according to the GERB-BSP councilors/.
Is that why they elected you as municipal councilors - to lightly reject the most important thing for the future - education and upbringing, for the sake of other corporate and behind-the-scenes interests that are clearly more important to you? And you voted for salaries of 6,500 leva, which are not found in Europe!
