A 2 million leva increase in the turnover of large retail chains during the third boycott. Data from the National Revenue Agency show that on February 26, the day before the boycott, traders reported over 25 million leva, and during the protest action, turnover jumped by just over two million leva and reached 27.4 million leva.
The largest decline was recorded after the first protest action on February 13 - by 28.8% or 7.9 million leva. A week later, during the second boycott, the decline was 4.4 percent, which is 1.1 million. leva.
Next week, the Ministry of Agriculture is expected to present a bill that will shorten the food supply chain from producer to consumer. Before being submitted for a vote in parliament, the texts will be discussed with the sectoral organizations of agricultural producers and with representatives of large food chains.
