Healthcare workers are going to a protest tent camp in front of the Ministry of Health. This will happen next Wednesday - March 12, BGNES reported.
The two sides held a meeting, from which the union issued an angry letter to the team of the Minister of Health, Assoc. Prof. Silvi Kirilov.
The medics are demanding an increase in wages by 20% for those employed in the healthcare sector and more money for food. The amount for a work shift should be 10 leva.
Another demand is that workers in the Emergency Centers be categorized in the first category of labor. The union is demanding that the Ministry of Health, the Council of Ministers and the relevant parliamentary committee take measures against violence against medics.
Among the other demands are: financing emergency care, a request to cancel the limits in medical institutions, a 20% increase in clinical pathways, an increase in the funds paid for "emergency" in the Emergency Department in hospitals from 46 to 100 leva per patient.
The National Union "Protection" writes to the authorities that they are categorically against reducing clinical pathways and limiting the number of hospitalizations. The tent camp in front of the Ministry of Health building will be for an indefinite period.
