Fires broke out in two places near Satovcha, in the Pletena region, within the scope of the Dikchan State Hunting Farm. Employees of the farm with an all-terrain vehicle, local residents, firefighters and municipal employees are extinguishing the fire.
With the warming weather and the sharp rise in temperatures, the risk of serious fires is high, reports the Southwestern State Enterprise. By order of the director of the Southwestern State Enterprise, teams from the neighboring farms - Gotse Delchev and Garmen are ready to assist their colleagues.
In the last few days alone, fires have broken out in the areas of Gotse Delchev, Elin Pelin, Etropole and Pirdop. All of them were brought under control after the rapid response of forest and fire fighters.
Although the fire is not primarily in state forest areas, the danger of serious consequences is enormous.
"We call for responsibility when handling fire and recall that a large part of forest fires are due to negligence," added the South-West Fire Department.
