The BSP explained what will happen if Kiselova drops out of parliament because of “Veličie“.
In recent days, information has emerged that the Speaker of the National Assembly Natalia Kiselova will drop out of parliament if, after the recount of votes, the “Veličie“ party jumps the barrier and has its own parliamentary group.
“In any case, the entry of a new formation into the National Assembly and a change in the balance of power within it will be an obstacle for our majority. But I strongly hope that we will overcome it. I believe that all parties in this majority realize what risks the state is facing and how important stability is”. This was stated in the program “Hello, Bulgaria” MP from “BSP-United Left” Atanas Atanasov.
If after the Constitutional Court's decision the balance of power in the National Assembly changes so that the currently ruling majority becomes a minority, Ivanov said that then support for different policies will be sought from different political parties.
“Regarding a possible exit of Natalia Kiselova, we will do everything possible to prevent it from coming to that. You know how long it took to elect the Speaker of the National Assembly. We will do everything possible to keep her”, said Atanasov. And he added: “We are eagerly awaiting the results and the decision of the Constitutional Court”.
As it became clear from his words that they will try to convince the one who remains or enters in her place to resign so that she can remain in parliament and continue to lead the National Assembly.
“But we still do not know who enters, who does not enter and how the mandates will be distributed”, the socialist pointed out.
Regarding the 38 thousand proposals of Vazrazhdane for the budget, this is not serious and responsible behavior, Atanasov is categorical.
“We are clear about the Eurozone – The BSP brought Bulgaria into the EU and we want to see this process through to the end.
But we need an information campaign and a stable government to get Bulgaria through this process painlessly“, the socialist also stated.
“The BSP has returned to its essence – a modern left-wing party, oriented towards protecting citizens.
At one time we were swayed by patriotic rhetoric, but this is not the BSP. The BSP is returning to its original left-wing values.
Peace is embedded in the DNA of the socialists, we have always supported the modernization of the army, but not at the expense of citizens' incomes.
Because they will eat up social payments. There is no way we can choose weapons over young families“, Atanas Atanasov also stated.
