"We continue the change" could not support the vote of no confidence in the cabinet of Rosen Zhelyazkov, because this would prevent Bulgaria from entering the eurozone. This was commented by the co-chair of PP-DB Kiril Petkov in the BTV studio, quoted by news.bg.
He explained that PP is shaping up as a pro-European and anti-corruption party and specified that the eurozone itself is an anti-corruption measure. He pointed out that when the date for our entry into the eurozone is set, which is expected at the end of June, the PP will prepare its own vote of no confidence and will talk to all parties, even MECH and "Velicie".
However, he suggested that this vote would not pass, because since yesterday, the DPS-New Beginning have been an official partner of the ruling majority. The PP's vote of no confidence will reinforce this position of the DPS-NN, according to Petkov, who again criticized GERB leader Boyko Borisov for putting on a show, for not being together with Delyan Peevski.
Kiril Petkov also commented on the latest Market Links survey regarding the results of the parties in possible early elections, indicating that in this survey he saw that the periphery of GERB was shifting towards the DPS-NN.
Regarding the BOEC signal, the PP co-chair criticized Interior Minister Daniel Mitov for re-appointing people who had been removed and stated that the party would demand his resignation if it was proven that he was "smuggling", in Kiril's words Petkov.
