The night passed peacefully for the 16-year-old student who fell from the fifth floor of a high school in Sofia, reported "Pirogov".
The boy was operated on until late on Wednesday evening by the hospital's neurosurgeons. During the intervention, the team performed compression and stabilization of the severely affected fragment of the spine.
The child is currently in intensive care.
We recall that the 16-year-old student fell from a window in the corridor of the "Henry Ford" Vocational High School for Transport and Energy.
The deputy director of the high school, Eng. Iskren Milanov explained to NOVA that the incident occurred shortly after 11 a.m., at the beginning of a school day.
The Director of the Internal Security Service, Chief Commissioner Lyubomir Nikolov, indicated that at this stage there is no evidence that the boy was pushed out of the window.
The Ministry of Education and Science stated that they will send psychologists on Thursday to talk to the students.
