Zhecho Stankov announced a turnaround: The coalition council will decide on the reactors from the Belene NPP for Ukraine - 1

The BSP colleagues have raised the issue of the reactors for "Belene" before our leader, but the joint management council will make the decision, as well as the National Assembly. Europe has turned to electrification. A new Renaissance of nuclear technologies is being experienced in Europe. This was stated by the Minister of Energy Zhecho Stankov in the program "Face to Face" on BTV.

Investors are looking for a large amount of energy supply. They want these investments to take place with low-emission or green energy sources. Nuclear energy is considered emission-free, which is environmentally friendly, he explained.

The sale is the easiest solution. However, we must consider all possible solutions. It is extremely important to me that today the reactors are being maintained in accordance with all requirements in order to be fit for use. An absolute priority for the state is the construction of the 7th and 8th units of the “Kozloduy” NPP, commented the Minister of Energy.

I have not negotiated with Ukraine for a higher price for the reactors. I am not informed about this, he announced regarding the information from a Ukrainian MP that our country has requested from Ukraine 100 million dollars more for the reactors at the “Belene” NPP.

In connection with the terms of the contract with “Botaş”, the Minister of Energy stated that there is a vacant position in the department and invited Rosen Hristov to take it. “There are several main problems with this contract, that we do not have access to the Turkish gas network, we pay regardless of whether we use capacity or not, which leads to costs of about 1 million leva per day. These costs have been updated, as a result of which we have to pay another 20 million leva this year. “Bulgargaz” after concluding the contract with “Botas” is at a loss of 282 million leva.
