Opera singer Bogomil Spirov – soloist of the National Music Theater, died in a car accident on a central Sofia boulevard. He was hit by a truck while riding his motorcycle.
His colleagues expressed their sadness on social media.
"This sunny man was run over today with his motorcycle by a truck on a central Sofia boulevard... Rest in peace, Bobby Spirov! Your smile, kindness and friendship will be missed! Deep is the grief! Condolences to the family and loved ones! Please, friends, don't ride motorcycles! Please! We don't have the conditions and tolerance for this here!".
"I can't believe it's true... Today an exceptional person and artist passed away - Bogomil Spirov.
Bobchi, you will forever be an inspiration to me! Thank you for everything, my friend! We won't be able to have a beer in Zaimov when Kapkite ends, as we promised ourselves a few days ago. Thank you for all the instructions and fatherly advice you gave me over the years, both for roles in the theater and for life's difficulties! Thank you for always driving for me when we had a joint performance outside Sofia and we left in my car, because you knew that I was afraid to drive on a long road. You have always been a gentleman.
I love you from the bottom of my soul and I am grateful that music brought us together. You always wished us on "BOB HOUR" before we go on stage... I'm sure that now the biggest roles in the Paradise Musical Theater and endless applause await you, but why are you in such a hurry for them".
