A draft decision to adopt a National Action Plan for Employment in 2025 will be considered by the government at its meeting today at 10:00 a.m. This was announced by the press service of the cabinet, quoted by dariknews.bg.
On April 2, in response to a question about youth unemployment, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy Lazar Lazarov stated that Bulgaria is heading towards record low unemployment levels with accelerated rates of increase in the employment rate. Today, the National Council for the Promotion of Employment adopted the Employment Action Plan for 2025, he announced at the time. Additional new jobs will be provided, just over seven thousand, Lazarov added. According to him, it is planned to acquire experience for specific jobs as well. The “Youth Internships” program for acquiring practical experience within up to six months of employment will be announced this year, after which the young person will have the opportunity to remain at work upon approval by the employer. We will diversify the measures, Lazarov said.
The agenda of the government meeting also includes a draft resolution to determine the nominal composition of the National Council for the Prevention and Protection from Domestic Violence, as well as a draft resolution to approve the annual estimates of the account for funds from the European Union of the National Fund for 2025. The cabinet is also expected to consider a draft resolution to approve the Annual Progress Report for 2025. on the implementation of the National Medium-Term Fiscal and Structural Plan of the Republic of Bulgaria for the period 2025 - 2028, as well as a draft Order for the establishment and payment to the state of deductions from profits by state-owned enterprises and commercial companies with state participation in the capital.
Also on the agenda is a draft decision to adopt a Report on the Status of Disaster Protection and a Report on Priority Activities for Disaster Risk Reduction, for which funding is required in the next calendar year, as well as a draft decision to adopt a Plan for 2025. for the implementation of the National Strategy for the Prevention and Combating of Irregularities and Fraud Affecting the Financial Interests of the European Union for the Period 2021-2027.
The government is scheduled to discuss a draft decision to adopt a National Action Plan for Contingency Situations in the Field of International Protection in the Republic of Bulgaria.
Also on the agenda is a draft decision to approve a draft Additional Agreement to Amend the Contract between the Ministry of Health and the Multi-profile Hospital for Active Treatment “Lozenets“ EAD - Sofia, for the provision of a loan to repay overdue liabilities of the medical institution, concluded in implementation of Decision No. 705 of the Council of Ministers of 2024.
The Cabinet will consider a draft decree to approve additional transfers to the budgets of municipalities for 2025. to compensate for the expenses incurred by parents for the upbringing, education and training of children who are not accepted into municipal nurseries or nurseries groups in municipal or state kindergartens due to lack of free places for the period from January 1 to February 28, 2025.
