US President Donald Trump said that a victory for Democratic Party representative Kamala Harris in the November 2024 elections would turn the United States into a "failed third-world country".
He spoke at a rally in Warren, Michigan, dedicated to the first 100 days of his second presidential term.
"They would allow 10 million new immigrants to enter the country and amnesty another 30-40 million people who arrived illegally in the United States. It would only be a matter of years or months before America itself becomes a failed third world country," Trump said.
"We would be living in a third world hellhole. That's exactly what they want," the American president added.
Trump sharply criticized Democratic Congressman Shri Thanedar, who introduced a resolution to impeach him, but confused Thanedar with Republican John James of the same state.
"Some guy I've never heard of, John James. Is he a congressman? He said, "Ladies and gentlemen, I'm going to impeach Donald Trump." What the hell did I do? They want to remove me. "No, these people are completely crazy," the US leader said, adding that Democrats "have completely lost the trust of the American people."
Tanedar introduced a resolution on Monday calling for Trump's impeachment, raising seven charges against the US president. Earlier, another congressman, Al Green, a Democrat from Texas, announced his plans to start impeachment proceedings against the president.
Currently, the Republican Party, which supports the US president, has a majority in both the House of Representatives and the Senate of Congress, making an attempt to impeach the head of state virtually impossible.
