Varna is once again the film capital of Bulgaria, BNT reported. The 32nd edition of the international film festival “Love is madness” was opened yesterday.
Until September 1 inclusive, the audience will be able to see the latest films nominated or awarded in international festivals. Traditionally, famous names from the cinema walked the red carpet. Tonight's program began with the film “There is still tomorrow”, which won the “David of Donatello”. Special guest of the Festival “Love is madness” is the Italian actor Franco Nero, who earlier today received an honorary badge from the mayor of Varna - Blagomir Kotsev /pictured/.
According to the organizers of the forum, this time the emphasis will be on whether the stories of others can be our mirror and whether we have the courage to reinvent ourselves without being influenced by the opinions of the people around us.
“My expectations are high because the effort I put into the selection of films, the composition of the program, the organization of this whole event is something that makes me believe in its success, and seeing so many people at the opening confirms that in Varna people love the cinema, they love the festival, said Prof. Alexander Grozev, artistic director of the IFF "Love is madness".
