For three consecutive days, Pernik is hosting the XXXI International Festival of Masquerade Games “Surva“ 2025. It is the oldest and largest masquerade festival in our country, held since 1966.
This year's edition features over 12,000 participants divided into 120 groups. The most numerous are from Bulgaria. There are also representatives from Romania, Serbia, Italy, Greece, Italy, Spain and North Macedonia.
The festival opened with the performance "Survakarski Mysteries", in which over 250 people participated - dancers, survakars, singers, acrobats and musicians. The third day of the festival will end with an official closing under the title "Until we meet again" around 7:00 PM tonight.
