FAKTI.BG publishes opinions with a wide range of perspectives to encourage constructive debates.

The PPDB list in 23 constituencies for the European elections was greatly shifted. The DSB leader Radan Kanev, placed in fifth place, received 37,000 preferences and qualified for the next European Parliament. The preferences come as a result of his achievements as an MEP in the previous term and his ability to keep the Bulgarian public well informed about his activities during the last five years.

This commented on "Facebook" Ognyan Minchev.

With a large number of preferences for the European Parliament, the famous rap singer and until recently PPDB MP Itso Hazarda also qualified. In this way, he displaced the second-ranked diplomat Stefan Tafrov. I do not underestimate the qualities of Itso Hazarda as an artist, as a civil activist and a representative of the people. However, I believe that Bulgaria, which has 17 MEPs, is interested in sending to Brussels experienced and professionally successful people in international politics, in the economy and in European integration. Stefan Tafrov is light years better prepared and suitable for an MEP than Itzo Hazard - who has yet to see the sights of Brussels.

I suppose that my position can be successfully countered with the argument - "Voice of the people - voice of God". It is a contest whose outcome is determined by the public vote. This is true. It is also true that the role of the political elite is to educate the citizens, to guide them for the most adequate choice in a complex and contradictory matter such as the representative democratic process. In order for Hazarda to be elected over Stefan Tafrov, the leadership of the PPDB has not done its job with its voters. Well, how to finish it!

For three years now, PP has existed only nominally as a party - it has registration, but no national network, organizational structure, defined goals and responsibilities. The leaders of PP have an extremely flattering opinion of themselves - they do not need experts (except for 1-2 virtuosos of sensational PR), they do not need managers of their campaigns, they have sponsors from the IT sector, but they do not have an IT technician at hand , to secure online meetings of their leadership - so the street dogs are passing around pieces of the cop tapes made to compromise them.

I'm getting trite - but politics is a profession. I repeat - a profession! You might have graduated from Harvard, you might have been to Mars. As soon as you are serious about doing something that is not your profession - study, engage professionals to help you and crush your nose a little. Because it is inexplicably turned - after June 9, it would be better to have the nose pointing to the ground. And Itso Hazard would do well to hire Stefan Tafrov or another HR professional as an advisor in his work as an MEP. Because something is still expected to end in Brussels.
