A strong storm caused major flooding in Piedmont, Italy, NOVA reported.
Rainfall in the region caused landslides and flooding. More than 400 firefighters were mobilized.
A press release from the fire service said that more than 300 rescue operations and drainage activities were carried out in the provinces of Turin and Biella, where the Elvo river overflowed its banks. Five additional teams were sent by the command of the neighboring province of Asti.
In Turin and Ivrea, firefighters reported carrying out around 90 interventions to secure dangerous trees and drain basements.
