In different times and eras, human wisdom has risen to great and difficult to reach peaks. Some of the wisest human words ever spoken are those collected in the Dharmapada. Dharmapada is the name in Sanskrit or in the Pali language of Ancient India is Dhammapada. This is a small but very powerful and essential part of the words of Siddhartha Gautama - Buddha, the founder of the religious teaching called Buddhism.

These thoughts were expressed on different occasions and to different people, more than 2,500 years ago, and their relevance throughout the centuries remains the same to this day.

There we find the following thought: “There is no fire more terrible than passion; there is no snare more terrible than hatred; there is no trap more terrible than stupidity." There is not much left for us but to exclaim - What an amazing comparison and how valid it is even at the present moment!

The noose of hatred tightens the entire humanity and the Bulgarians as well. Because hate is nothing but a noose, and the more we pull, the tighter that noose gets...around our own neck. Will people become aware of what is happening, will we Bulgarians become aware? Who makes us loathe and hate each other, to separate ourselves from each other, along all lines, signs and characteristics?

Who makes us hate others Russia, Ukraine, USA, EU, etc.? Negativism, mistrust, slander have become an easy and cheap way to gain attention and popularity. A misunderstood critical thinking, which from analytical and constructive, degenerated into aimless and destructive, degenerated into hatred – hatred And the many huge social and all kinds of other networks that multiply all this in an instant.

It's probably easier to hate something than to try to understand it. It takes a lot more work to create something than to deny it. But I would urge that we not give in to hatred. To try to show understanding, even indulgence, but to respect the other. Let's not forget these wise words - There is no more terrible snare than hatred. If humanity fails to do so now, with the current processes, World War III is inevitable.
