Iliyan Vasilev: I am afraid that many of the PPDB have the mentality of excellent students. Borisov and Peevski will knock them down!

FAKTI.BG publishes opinions with a wide range of perspectives to encourage constructive debates.

The question of how to react to electoral manipulations, to bought and controlled votes is a fundamental and the conclusions also concern the way to change the situation. I'm afraid many of the PPDBs have an A-list mentality. Borisov and Peevski will knock them out for breakfast.

This is what he warned on "Facebook" Iliyan Vassilev.

First, the assessment - this is a systemic problem - it is the buying of votes that replaces democracy, destroys it from the inside and thus renders it meaningless. There are no palliatives or evolutionary solutions here, if you remain silent, you automatically become part of the status quo, which replaces democracy. Either you say that you do not participate in this and are not part of it, or you become Peevski and Borisov, no matter what declarations you make, because the institutions will reproduce the same captive and controlled vote next time. Remember that within the framework of the current System, where the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor's Office, the court in general, institutions, instead of ensuring transparent and fair elections, play in favor of political feudal lords, it means unequivocally - Carthage must fall and any cooperation within the System legitimizes it and concrete.

We constantly ask ourselves the question - why

PPDB, despite the support, cannot win elections and change the system.

Well, it cannot and will never be able to, precisely because their System does not envisage that anything can be changed through elections. The difference in these elections was the brutal intervention of institutions and the Ministry of the Interior.

I said it yesterday - whatever vote you mobilize, THEY will always be able to buy more. And when they run out of money, they once again siphon public funds through the authorities and fill their coffers.

Where exactly do you see in this perspective the moment when elections can be won and in the face of their democracy, they lose power?

And by recognizing through tacit consent or refusing non-recognition, their elections, by participating in their National Assembly /it is a product of these elections/ you become their accomplices - you become part of the status quo. That is why I said that we have reached the Rubicon - the red line of protection/betrayal of Bulgarian democracy.

Any illusion that it is possible to work with GERB or Peevski to improve the system is rather an expression of conciliation and agreement.

In the same way - I understand MPs who have been elected that it is excessive for them, after these battles to enter and win votes, to declare that they will not enter Parliament and declare the vote illegitimate. It's hard. But it's the only way to mount a challenge that the status quo holders can't ignore. As much as Borisov needs the legitimacy of his government from the PPDB, he needs twice as much legitimacy from the National Assembly. All those who enter the National Assembly will automatically join the System and Peevski. Such a distinction is urgently needed right now.

Don't fall for the trap of not recognizing the elections through the court. During the counting of ballots, you cannot change the bought and controlled vote - the ballots are already the ballot boxes and have been counted. It is a political act of non-recognition of elections and refusal to participate in Parliament with people who are there by virtue of a bought vote.

The idea that Peevski and Borisov will clean up the NA and pass law after law is frankly shallow. They can't, they won't, their genetic code doesn't allow it. It is not only the opposition of the PPDB that prevented them from passing the three laws that hinder the European funds. Their political philosophy and the glaring need for a democratic and European facade of the autocratic and plans makes legitimization before the outside world an irrevocable condition. There's more. Just to say that political mutts are not fought by democratic means or academic education.
