Dimitar Atanasov: Was there no one to tell them that the building of the National Theater is not "Bulgarian"?! - 1
FAKTI.BG publishes opinions with a wide range of perspectives to encourage constructive debates.

Didn't anyone tell them that the building of the National Theater is not "Bulgarian" but was designed by the bureau "Helmer and Fellner? Didn't someone tell them that the War Club was founded by Antonin Kolar? That the last reconstruction of the Prince's Palace was done by Grünanger and Rumpelmeyer? Don't they know that the monument to Tsar Liberator was made by Arnaldo Dzoki? Are they not aware that the cathedral in the very center was designed by Russian architects (Bogomolov, Pomerantsev, Yakovlev et al.)? Was the Rectory building not originally designed by Breason?

What do they think? Old Plovdiv was created by Greeks and Armenians. Yes, and Turks.

This recalls on "Facebook" Dimitar Atanasov.

The nation's elite during the Renaissance dressed in European clothes. He goes to the theater and the opera. He knows, at least by name, the emblematic names of European literature. He orders furniture from Vienna and Budapest. By the way, the wooden doors of the temple "St. Alexander Nevsky" are made in Vienna. The company that built the iron church in Istanbul was also based there.

Normal Bulgarians then, and even now, do not run in anger against an art they are not familiar with. They don't tear pieces of flesh from the bodies of people they don't understand. They don't dance outside the pub. They are aware that agrarian traditions have their place and it is not in front of the theater building.

Honestly, I'm ashamed. Like many. The empowerment of the lower layers leads to climaxes of the type of this wave of "slave malice". Political crooks announce the will of the ignorant, the uneducated and the aggressive, ready not for enlightenment, but for bloodshed. Today is a theatrical production, tomorrow they will start beating us for no reason in the streets.

One step left to the book stacks in the city center. No, these are not Bulgarians. We are not so primitive, complex and embittered. The gap between the elite and the masses is deepened by people like Borisov, Kopeikin and Trifonov - the agents of the tracksuit-simplicity and aggression.
