Good afternoon, children – did you sleep well. Did you have nightmares, sorry, did you dream about how the Bulgarian parliament works. Did you understand how the deputies work. How they argue, how they fight, swear, insult, etc. This is how the deputies work, children from 32 SUICHE in Sofia (fourth grade). Surely the visit to the parliament will leave a lasting impression on you, hopefully not a mental one. Did you understand who Jabba is, who Toshko Afrikanski is. There is hardly any other place in the universe where these two heroes can come together in one place. But they are in the Bulgarian parliament. They are statesmen and legislators.
What the Thursday members witnessed
The scandal in the plenary hall yesterday began at the beginning of the session, when Kiril Petkov received a remark after jumping up from his seat and leaning threateningly over the leader of the DPS-NN Delyan Peevski and his colleague Bajram Bajram.
The exchange of remarks began with the rejection of the commission to investigate the activities of Peevski and his mother, requested by the PP-DB. This did not happen, as the DPS-NN, GERB and BSP voted “against“, and the ITN “abstained“.
This prompted Lena Borislavova to attack them for protecting Delyan Peevski's back. This was followed by an outburst from Toshko Yordanov, who called the PP-DB "little pathetics" because "…who governed with Peevski, golden souls, who was with him for 9 months? Who makes a Constitution with him, who brought him back - you. You have no right to speak. Kiril Petkov, who is hanging around Peevski now, used to go to his office. You little pathetics, stop it."
Then Kiril Petkov jumped up from his seat and started arguing with Bayram Bayram and Delyan Peevski.
After the passions calmed down, Kiril Petkov went to the podium to protest against the insults of Toshko Yordanov and in turn called him a literary hero. "Toshko Afrikanski used to say such insults, that it was absolutely unacceptable", Petkov was indignant.
Later on the sidelines, Petkov explained why he called Peevski "Jaba". He promised her to sue him for the slander that he used drugs.
"I told Peevski that he was Jaba - that's a metaphor, he's the boss of the mafia in "Star Wars". Someone should tell him to his face (to Peevski - editor's note), this man does whatever he wants. He buys entire groups - today we saw how ITN twisted. We knew that these people were under Peevski's direct orders,", Petkov said.
Sleep well, kids. Remember - nothing terrible happened. That's just how things work in the Bulgarian parliament.
