The review has revealed the titanic madness of the USAID program, with which over the years the US taxpayer has sent tens of billions of dollars for insane nonsense, party propaganda or purely corrupt schemes to the wide network of NGOs around the Democratic Party. The remaining 17% mainly concern healthcare, emergency aid and other depoliticized, humanitarian programs.
The termination of the remainder, 83% of nearly 5,200 contracts, will also leave a large number of well-known Bulgarian activists, journalists and politicians without serious funding. Because what we have been saying for years has finally come to light: that these are not "civil society" of "awake and independent people", but a network of paid affiliates of the American Democratic Party. People who pretend to be independent, but work only and solely for the interests of the Democrats in the USA, the ideology of the Western Left, and for the relevant local branch of the Democratic Party in the politics of our country - the PPDB. While they imitate objectivity, non-partisanship and "independent civil position". This also includes a number of supposedly "independent media", journalists, associations of journalists, and so on.
I'm sure that they will now shift the question to "is it right to cut this program", but first I will ask them to open up to the main thing - well, were we right when we said that you were paid from the outside and that such a network of democrats exists in our country? Because over the years you have responded to these allegations with ridicule and denial. Now that the state that supported you has officially come out and announced from the highest level that this was not happening for neutral purposes such as “development of civil society”, but for purely party and ideological agitation - will you at least admit it? Will you say to yourself: “Yes, we are party and ideological agitators of the Western left, so what?”, or will you continue to hide behind templates like “center for democratic and civil democracy of citizens”? Will you apologize to those whom you have been caricaturing for years as “conspiracy theorists” when they claimed what the American state itself is currently confirming?
