Despite the unprecedented pressure, the Constitutional Court decided: "Velichie" enters parliament. The CEC is about to officially announce it. Ivelin Mihaylov's party is the bitter spice in the sinister mess that politicians in Bulgaria have gotten themselves into.

Despite the unprecedented prosecutorial and political pressure, the Constitutional Court made its decision on the election case. The "Velichie" party is entering the Fifty-first National Assembly and will seriously stir up trouble in it. The CEC is about to officially announce it.

And it's a good thing it's entering. Because for Bulgarian society, which after the institutional orgy in recent days believes in everything else but that the elections are fair, this will be at least a small consolation that after the intervention of the constitutional judges at least some degree of democracy can be defended.

It is good that "Veličie" is included for another reason - Ivelin Mihaylov's party is the bitter spice in the sinister mess that politicians in Bulgaria, led by GERB and MRF, and recently with the active support of the BSP and ITN, have mixed with democracy and institutions in the country.

How did "Veličie" come about?

Let's go back to the genesis of this party. In the last few years, Mihaylov and the people around him were allowed to develop their dubious economic activities without control, to build what was defined as a pyramid "Historical Park", to take over a Bulgarian settlement and even to militarize themselves - all this in a municipality governed by GERB. And in coalition with them. The institutions were silent. It came to the founding of an ultra-populist political force called "Velichye", which entered parliament. But even this seemed not to be a problem, until some of its deputies refused to support some other perverted form of government. By then, it became clear to the masters of the mess that with "Velichye" she would be bitter. But it was too late.

"Velichye" - the one around Ivelin Mihaylov, not around the now forgotten Colonel Markov, appeared again in the last parliamentary elections. And he received a curious 3.999% of the votes. Quite logically, this result led to a series of conspiracies - after all, who unreservedly believes in the fairness of the elections in Bulgaria, given the already mentioned mess we live in? All of this could have been avoided if less than 40% of voters had not voted in the elections. But who would go to vote, since people are sick of this same mess and have no trust in those who are messing it up?

The case of "Majesty" and 3.999% could have subsided if the political forces had not been forced to turn to the Constitutional Court. Why? Because this time the bowl of mush overflowed. Controlled voting, manipulation, pressure, threats, vote-swapping - the reasons for the high result of "DPS – New Beginning" are no secret to anyone. The outrage in society was widespread, there had to be some institutional response.

The climax: "Majesty" in the National Assembly

And we come to the climax: "Majesty" enters the parliament after protests and a public scandal that seriously questioned the foundations of the legal and institutional order in the country. Intoxicated by the mess, Bulgarian politicians did not realize that the constitutional judges, although they have repeatedly demonstrated a worrying adaptability to the political situation, cannot allow the prosecutor's office to hit them with its heavy bat and not react. And the public should watch without complaint the attempts to collapse the entire institutional and legal structure of the state.

So, respected rulers from GERB, BSP and ITN, now suck on the bitter mess you have made. Because with this fragile majority, you will increasingly have to publicly enter the coalition that you regularly enter behind the scenes, voting together with Peevski's party. You have already done so - in the shameful declaration that you adopted in parliament this week.
