Let's imagine the following situation. Turkey decided that the lands in South-Southeastern Bulgaria to Varna and Pazardzhik belong to them. Something like a continuation of the Berlin Treaty. Legally or illegally - let the lawyers sort it out. Anyway. We are talking about a thought experiment.
In about one day, the Turkish army reaches the Balkan Mountains. The next day it is in Varna. It is in Pazardzhik 12 hours before that.
Now imagine what we do. We are scrambling with our only plane and plying the sea with our few inflatable boats. The plane is unarmed, so the foreign air defense is not interested in it. After the second hour of flight, the fighter runs out of fuel, but there is no longer anywhere to land. All the airports have been captured. The plane lands and is proudly captured. The Turks don't hang it because it can still be considered American property.
When I said about the fleet of inflatable boats, I want to tease your imagination and imagine that there is more than one admiral for each motorboat. I assume the motorboats are armed with machine guns. If they had to fight Roman galleys, they would probably have a 20-30% chance of winning. But the motorboats have not hit the time or the country. And the admirals have not hit the mark.
We have no tanks left and the few that came out on their own were destroyed in the first hour. There is no point in destroying those that have not caught fire. They have self-destructed in advance. We lack armored personnel carriers. They have already become scrap metal somewhere in the fields of Ukraine. Of our thirty thousand-strong army, we understand that 70% are administration. Computer specialists, secretaries and support workers. Our several headquarters are hiding in bunkers and sending each other orders that they do not carry out.
The American bases in Bulgaria are carefully surrounded. They are passers-by. They drink beer and watch what is happening through the wall. They are waiting for orders from their command, which is located close to the conflict. Understand in Turkey.
From Europe they offer us aid in the form of Egyptian beans, field apples and Chinese GMO garlic. So that the infants in need have something to eat.
The hunting and fishing groups in Yambol and Stara Zagora are self-organizing and putting up the most serious resistance. Of course, this is not coordinated with the general headquarters and accordingly the hunters are declared outlaws. Their actions do not represent the official position of the Bulgarian state. An order is issued to bring them before the law for arbitrariness.
All kinds of European bureaucrats pour into Sofia, giving advice on how to resolve the conflict by peaceful means. Because we have no other. They express their readiness to support us with a declaration. They write a declaration. They send it to us. They support us. Paris paints the Eiffel Tower with our national flag. For just one day because the Muslim diaspora is unhappy. Berlin celebrates. The powerful Allah Akbar can be heard all the way to the border with the Czech Republic. Several Hollywood actresses come to take pictures in front of the statue in Sofia. The PR campaign was paid for by the Ministry of Defense.
We turn our heads to the east, but it turns out that there are only enemy countries there.
Some old people say that we once had three armies and weapons. Today we are down to three brigades with batons and machine guns. Nothing. The important thing is that over the years we have acted wisely and now we are generously reaping the fruits of our right decisions.
Can you imagine?
