Germany beat Denmark 2:0 in the round of 16 match of the European Football Championship, played in Dortmund.

The match was suspended for a long time due to a thunderstorm and heavy rain that made play impossible.

The Danes had several good opportunities to score, but failed to convert them, which the hosts took advantage of. In the 53rd minute, Kai Havertz scored from the penalty spot to make it 1-0 for Germany, and in the 68th minute, Jamal Musiala scored a second goal. Just a minute before Germany's first goal, the Danes scored a goal, but it was disallowed due to an offside.
