Civil society has been in dispute with DPS for many years, because they simply want to build, but without complying with laws and rules. And since the beginning of this century, it was clearly visible how Delyan Peevski's media, to the extent that they can be called media, always blackened anyone who wants to defend themselves and work according to the rules. These media have failed Bulgarian journalism. And now that part of DPS that is against civil society are the people around Delyan Peevski. This was announced to Lili Marinkova in the studio „FACTI“ and the show „Razgovor“ by ecologist Toma Belev.
„And I'll give you an example right away. Peevski's DRF wants to build the largest waste incinerator near Galabovo, because the mayor is theirs. But without going through an environmental assessment. And they only complain that, you see, some people are hindering them, appealing, etc. Now, apparently, someone else has lined up in Galabovo, because the business with various waste is huge and very dirty. Even at the EU level. You know that branches of the Italian mafia have been controlling this business for many years. It's a lot of money. And in Galabovo now they just want to build, but without complying with laws, they don't comply with what is written in the development plans. This is their way of treating Bulgarian society. Even in 2017, they imposed an increase in cassation proceedings fees for everyone, in order to try to stop appeals to the second and third instance. Only under the Ottoman yoke did we have a court of one instance. That's where they want to send us back," Belev added.
