Rosen Milenov to FACT: 30,000 leva for entry to sell your goods in retail chains (VIDEO) - 1

The most important thing is the symbolism of this boycott of grocery stores. Society is still showing that it can be united and cohesive. Only in this way can we stand up against all the injustices that are the offspring of power, of criminal power. If we look at the reports of retail chains every year, they have 2.5 billion in revenue and 130 million leva in net profit after taxes. And if we add to this that each large company “unloads“ part of the profit through affiliated companies, then their net profit is about 200 million leva. He announced this to Lili Marinkova in the “FACT“ studio and the show “Conversation“ Rosen Milenov, a former employee of the National Security Agency, who is part of the newly announced Citizens' Initiative for Non-Recognition of the Election Results for the 51st National Assembly.

“I don't like the fact that we have the most expensive food prices among all the countries in the European Union, which have a higher standard of living and higher incomes. We keep talking about butter, which in France is 5 leva, and in our country it is 14-15 leva“, he added.

“The markups in the chains reach 100, 200, 300 percent. We see this from reports in the national media. The tomato starts in the village of Strumyani, Blagoevgrad region, at 1 leva, and reaches the retail chain at 5 leva. In the large food chains we have restrictive access for Bulgarian producers. You have 30,000 leva for entry to sell your goods in retail chains. Then there are fees for promotions, fees for being in the brochure, etc. And all of this is calculated in the consumer price. This is a limitation, discrimination against local producers. But the state allowed this after allowing the chains to enter the cities. They are already in the very center of the cities. Large food chains have acquired 60% of all retail trade. Why? Because we have not taken care to have farmers' markets, farmer's stands. And all of this was allowed by the state“, Milenov also shared.
