Trump emphasized in his statement that the United States will not engage directly in this armed conflict, and they insist that the main support of Ukraine and its armed forces be taken over by the European Union. Europe also hinted that they do not see a prospect and do not support the idea of Ukraine being admitted to NATO. For Russia, the key thing is to ensure its security from the western borders. "So it can be assumed that in the conversation that lasted over an hour between Trump and Putin, not only issues related to the conflict in Ukraine were discussed, but also the entire strategic stability in Eurasia. So far, we have not had an official statement from Moscow, but the position repeatedly expressed by President Putin and other prominent Russian diplomats and statesmen is that Russia insists on a neutral status for Ukraine, and that significant NATO weapons, which pose a strategic threat to Russian security, should not be deployed on its territory.
