Judge Atanaska Disheva to FACTS: Noizi's car has not been sold (VIDEO)

The Judicial College of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) postponed the decision for Judge Miroslav Petrov of the Sofia District Court, whom it heard last week. The magistrate claims in a signal that he was pressured by the prosecutor's office and that an investigation has been launched against him after he refused to seize the car of Ivaylo Tsvetkov-Noizi, who was caught driving after drinking alcohol, but under the terms of a suspended sentence.

„It seems that this ruling will lose meaning in the way it is pronounced, in which we announced it would happen. Namely, after the preliminary investigation file is examined. This inspection, based on publicly available data, ended with a refusal to initiate pre-trial proceedings against Judge Miroslav Petrov. The prosecutor did not find evidence of a crime being committed. The text of this prosecutorial decree was published in the media, Atanaska Disheva, a member of the Supreme Judicial Council, told Lili Marinkova in the studio "FACTS" and the program "Conversation".

“We decided to request the entire file, except for the prosecutor's decree itself, in order to be sure of its authenticity. As of today, this file has not been received by the Supreme Judicial Council. This decree should be before the Sofia City Court for judicial control, but the file is not yet available at the Supreme Judicial Council. Today, a report was received from the Traffic Police, which shows that the car was not sold, it was seized. There were such allegations that it was sold. I voted against requesting the report from the Traffic Police, because it has no bearing on the case“, added Disheva.

“Protecting the independence of a judge requires a quick ruling. It will already be three weeks since we were referred by Judge Ivanov“, added the guest.
