Russia will survive the new sanctions, but it will not forget nor forgive this attempt to harm her people. This was stated by the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the country Dmitry Medvedev, quoted by TASS.
"We will survive this. But we won't just forgive and forget, we have a good memory. We will not leave unanswered the intention to harm our people," he wrote in "Telegram".
In his words, apart from the sanctions against the international children's center "Artek", "it's boring to even list" the new sanctions.
According to Medvedev, European politicians are working "stupidly and uncreatively, repeating themselves once again" and sacrificing the interests of their own countries and peoples. He added that the restrictions hurt Russia "far less than EU citizens and companies".
Medvedev noted that by the end of last year, "Europe's total loss caused by anti-Russian sanctions has reached about 1.5 trillion dollars", and Russia itself has turned to Asian markets and recovered lost revenue.< /p>
"This is why in Europe they have to approve packages of new sanctions with one hand and continue to buy Russian gas with the other: this is their only lifeline," he summarized. "Your shirt is closer to your body, but it wears out," Medvedev added. "So the 14th package of sanctions will not achieve its goal, but will be another hostile act,", he concluded.
Yesterday, the European Union approved the 14th package of sanctions against Moscow.
